Visual Identity for Shen Bao Entertainment

The Shen Bao building in Shanghai was in the 1930s the headquarters of a newspaper under the same name. Today, it is home of Shen Bao Entertainment, a production company for movies, theatre and TV.

When we were asked to create a visual identity for them, it was quickly clear that the building itself with its rich history would serve as a spring board for our concept. ‘How many stories must have been written here before?’ We wished we could travel back in time to meet its authors.

So we created a time machine hidden at the core of the building to bring some mystique to the newly formed entertainment company.
